Maintenance and cleaning of the electronic pipette
Maintenance and cleaning of the electronic pipette
Regular maintenance of the electronic pipette is recommended to ensure trouble-free
operation.
The following maintenance actions should be performed regularly:
Inserting or changing the battery
q
o When inserting the battery for the first time into the electronic pipette, the battery must
be fully charged before the electronic pipette can be used. When the battery icon on
the display stops flashing, the electronic pipette is ready for use. The charging time can
be up to 3.5 hours.
o After one year in use, exchange the battery with a new one.
CAUTION
Fire and explosion due to inappropriate use of instrument
Inappropriate use of the instrument or the batteries (short circuit, mechanical damage,
overheating, incorrect AC adapter, etc.) can lead to battery explosion.
r When handling batteries, always follow the descriptions given in this documentation.
r Do not handle batteries in an atmosphere with a danger of explosion.

Shut down the analyzer.

Performing a reference run After battery replacement or after the
pipette has been disassembled.
Replacing the tip cone filter When the filter is contaminated or
soiled.
