Installing the printer

The window displayed next depends on your printer and driver type. Do one of
the following:
o If a Welcome window is displayed, follow the instruction by making sure to
have all other applications closed. Choose the Next button to continue.
or,
o Otherwise, directly go to step 5.

The window displayed next depends on your printer and driver type. Do one of
the following:
o If an Easy Install or A dvanced Install window is displayed, select the Easy
Install option. Choose the Next button to continue.
or,
o If a Select an Installation T ype window is displayed, select the Install the
driver software now option. Choose the Start button.
In the Lexmark MS310-MS410 Series window, choose the Install button and
then the Continue button on the Welcome window. On the Li cense
Agreement window, choose Agree.
or,
o Otherwise, if the End User License Agreement window is displayed, confirm
it by choosing the Yes button. Choose the Yes button to continue.

Select the printer you want to install. Choose the Next button to continue.
Select the exact printer name, if provided in the list, or select the series fitting to
your printer type (e.g. the HP Lase r Jet Professional P1102 printer belongs to the
driver HP L a serJet Professional P1100 series ).

The window displayed next depends on your printer and driver type. Do one of
the following:
o If a window is displayed, stating that the setup has enough information to start
the installation, confirm it by choosing the Next button.
or,
o If a Security Notifi cation window is displayed, choose the Continue button
and accept all default settings to start the installation. After the installation, in
the S elect Connecti on Type window, select L ocal connection and choose the
Continue button.
or,
o Otherwise, directly go to step 8.

Plug in the USB cable and power on your printer when you are asked to do this.
After switching on the printer the installation procedure continues automatically.

The window displayed next depends on your printer and driver type. Do one of
the following:
o If an HP Extended C apabilities window is displayed, select the Install HP
E xtended Capabilities option. Choose the Next button to continue.
or,
o Otherwise, directly go to step 10.

Do one of the following:
o When the software installation is finished, clear the Register your product
check box, select the PrintTestPage check box, and choose the Finish button
or,
o When the Ready to use window is displayed, choose the Print Sample Page
button and choose the Finish button.
