Checking the Ink Side of the Ribbon
There are two winding directions for the ribbon. Face-out means the ink is on the outer side and Face-
in means the ink is on the inner side. The product supports both winding directions. You can examine
the ink side of the ribbon using the following procedure.
1. Place the ribbon so the outer side is down and spreads out.
2. Apply adhesive tape to the inner side of the ribbon, and press it lightly.
3. Peel off the adhesive tape.
If there is ink on the adhesive tape, then that ribbon has a coating of ink on the inner side.
◦ The ink is coated on the outer side. (Face-out ribbon)
