4. Turn the head lock lever counterclockwise to lock the print head, and then press the feed roller
and media sensor assembly down until the feed lock latch is locked.
Before the adjustment, confirm that the feed roller and media sensor assembly (sensor
cover) is locked. If the assembly is not locked when auto-calibration is executed, the
calibration will fail.
5. Close the top cover.

Press the / buttons to select the type of sensor to be adjusted.

Press the button or button.
8.
When the confirmation screen appears, press the button to start the sensor adjustment.
9.
The result of the sensor adjustment is shown. To exit the adjustment, press the button.
10.
Set to Offline mode. Press the button to confirm that the media is fed correctly.
If the media is not fed correctly after doing [Auto-calibration], contact your SATO
reseller or technical support.
[GAP Levels]
Manually set the Gap sensor level.
The setting procedure is as follows:
First, adjust the "Low" level (voltage) of the Gap sensor.
1. Remove the label from the liner.
2. Pass the liner below the feed roller and media sensor assembly. Align it so that the media sensor
does not detect the I-mark (black mark).
3. Close the print head and the feed roller and media sensor assembly. To get the correct adjustment
result, adjust after you have closed them.
4.
Select the [GAP Levels] in the [Calibrate] menu and press the button.
5.
Press the / buttons to change the [Emit] value until the [Sensor] value is below 0.5 (V).
Set the [Emit] value as low as possible.
6. If the [Sensor] value does not decrease below 0.5 after you changed the [Emit] value, press the
/ buttons to change the [Receive] value.
7. Take a note of the [Sensor] value from the above procedure. This is the "Low" level value for the
Gap sensor.
Next, check the "High" level (voltage) of the Gap sensor as follows:
1. Pass the media (attached with liner) below the feed roller and media sensor assembly. Align it so
that the media sensor does not detect the I-mark (black mark).
2. Close the print head and the feed roller and media sensor assembly.
