6.2.5 Measurement of insulation resistance
Inverter insulation resistance
1. Before measuring the inverter insulation resistance, first dismount
the wiring of all the main-circuit terminals and control board.
Then do the wiring as shown in the right picture
2. The measurement is only suitable for the main circuit. It is prohibited
to use a high-resistance meter for measuring terminals on the
control board.
3. The value of the insulation resistance shall be greater than 5MΩ.
Note: Please use a 500 VDC megger.
Motor insulation resistance
1. Before the measurement, please dismount the motor, and execute the
wiring as shown in the diagram on the right.
2. The value of the insulation resistance shall be greater than 5MΩ
Note: Please use a suitable megger.
6.2.6 Hi-pot test
Do not conduct a hi-pot test. Deterioration may occur on the internal semiconductor components of the inverter.
