6.6 Aligndistancemeasuringdeviceandreectoragainst each other
1. Movethedistancemeasuringdeviceandreectorclosetogether.
2. Align the distance measuring device so that the light spot of the sensor
hitsthecenterofthereector.
3. Increase the distance between the distance measuring device and the
reector.Thesensorlightspotmustcontinuetohitthecenterofthe
reector.
4. Check damping. The damping value must not exceed the value in the
table.
Damping value The following table shows the required damping values depending on the
distancebetweenthedistancemeasuringdeviceandthereector.The
values in the "rated level" column should not be undercut. When the mea-
sured damping value undercuts the value in the column "warning thresh-
old", a warning is issued.
