Reducing the available continuous current as a function of the power unit temperature
For this temperature derating, the highest heat sink temperature (r52050[0], r52050[1];
r52050[6] for the 120 kW device) of all device power units is used.
For a temperature between 75 °C and 80 °C, the available continuous current is linearly
decreased from 100 % of the rated current down to 80 %.
Figure 7-81 Current derating as a function of the power unit temperature
The temperature thresholds for the power unit temperature can be reduced down to 20 °C
using p55101[1]:
Figure 7-82 Example for temperature threshold reduction - power unit temperature
The response when the permissible power unit temperature is exceeded can be set using
p55102:
p55102 = 1: Pulse frequency and current reduction
p55102 = 2: Current reduction
p55102 = 3: Pulse frequency reduction
p55102 = 4: Immediate shutdown with fault
For p55102 = 1, 2, 3, the following applies:
At the start of the derating (75 °C), alarm A60080 is output.
If the temperature threshold was reduced via p55101[1] then A60080 is output for an
appropriately lower temperature.
As soon as the full derating at 80 °C has been reached, fault F60067 is output and the
device is shut down.
p55101[1] does not influence this threshold.
