7.16 Diagnostics
7.16.1 Diagnostic memory
To provide support for troubleshooting and correcting problems, the SINAMICS DCP records
various data in a diagnostics file. SIEMENS specialists can use the contents of this file to
obtain more in-depth information about the cause of inexplicable faults or other problems
such as blown fuses or defective semiconductor switches.
When contacting SIEMENS with queries related to problems of this type, it is, therefore,
advisable that you both read out this file and e-mail a copy of it to the SIEMENS experts.
Proceed as follows to read out the diagnostics file:
1. Insert the memory card in the card slot.
2. Set p50832 = 1:
this copies the diagnostics file to the memory card. This process takes
approximately 2 minutes. Copying is complete when p50832 again assumes a value 0.
3. The diagnostics file is called
DiagStor.spd, and is approx. 600 kB in size. It can be found
in the
\USER\SINAMICS\DATA\LOG directory on the memory card.
For more details on the diagnostic memory, please refer to function diagram 8056.
Note
Using the memory card
Using the memory card, see Chapter "
Memory card functions (Page 158)".
