7.13 Device fan
The SINAMICS DCP converter is equipped with device fans.
Fan control
The fans are switched in as required by the fan control system integrated in the device; see
function diagram 6845.
In the default setting, the fans are activated along with the pulse enable. For example, to
avoid drawing-in cold air and condensation at low temperatures, the minimum heat sink
temperature when switching on the fan - with overload operation deactivated (p55080 = 0) -
can be increased up to max. 40 °C (p55458).
When the pulse enable is withdrawn, the fan remains active until the run-on time (p55450)
has expired.
● 30 kW device:
The fans are operated at a fixed speed.
● 120 kW device:
The fan speed is changed as a function of the power unit temperature (heat sink
temperature).
The fans operate with 20 % of their rated speed up to a heat sink temperature of 30 °C.
From this temperature, the fan speed increases linearly up to 100 % of the rated speed
for a heat sink temperature of 70 °C.
The speeds of all three fans are individually monitored.
If the speed of at least one fan does not as a minimum reach half of the setpoint, then
fault F60067 with fault value 10 is output.
For diagnostic purposes, the speeds of the individual fans are indicated in r55480[0...2].
For test purposes, the device fans can be switched on using p55455.
This is also possible in the STARTER screen form "Fan control".
Operating hours counter
Each device fan has an operating hours counter.
The counter state is indicated in r55470.
