Viscosity Monitoring System Sequence
The viscosity of the ink is checked by the Viscosity Monitoring System (VMS) whenever the jet is running and
pressing

. This procedure is as follows:

Solenoid valve V3 opens directing ink into the VMS chamber, which is an integral part of the FMS
(Figure 38).

Ink flows into the VMS chamber via V3 and restrictor R1 until the high level sensor is covered. At this point
V3 closes, stopping the flow of ink into the chamber (Figure 39).
