(4) Adjusting the vertical stop on the
condenser carrier
• Loosen the setscrew (
625H625HFig. 4-2/1) on the vertical
stop with the ball-head screwdriver SW 3.
• Focus the sample with the focusing drive.
• Close the field diaphragm and adjust the
condenser vertically (
626H626HFig. 4-2/2) until you get a
sharp image.
• Perform the vertical adjustment on the
condenser by small increments only to avoid
lifting out the sample.
• Tighten the setscrew (
627H627HFig. 4-2/1) on the vertical
stop.
(5) Adjusting the vertical stop on the
focusing drive
• Turn the clamping lever (
628H628HFig. 4-3/1) of the stop
towards the pin stop.
• Move the stage with the aid of the focusing
drive (
629H629HFig. 4-3/2) to the highest position
allowable without risking colliding with object
carrier or objectives.
• Now press the clamping lever down until the
stop engages again.
