Prim/Sec LED
The Prim/Sec LED of a not redundant AC 800F can only adopt one of these two
states:
• Off Normal operation

In the case of the redundant AC 800F the Prim/Sec LEDs on the Primary and
Secondary have different meanings:

• Off No redundancy configured
• Green static Synchronous operation, normal state in redundancy mode.
• Green flashing Unsynchronized operation, transitional state, occurs when data
are being matched with those of the Secondary.
• Orange static Redundancy configured, no Secondary found. Secondary
failed or error occurred during redundant operation.
• Red static Error occurred in redundancy mode.
Prim/Sec LED on Secondary:
• Off No redundancy configured, or operating system not yet
downloaded to AC 800F
• Orange static Synchronized operation.
• Orange flashing Synchronization still in progress.
• Red static Error occurred in redundancy mode
Operating elements
Reset switch
The Reset switch serves for resetting the AC 800F. A warm start or cold start is
initiated, depending on the system status. The reset switch is recessed and can only
be pressed by using a "tool" (e.g. a ball-point pen or similar). The switch is provided
with a delay circuit to avoid accidental actuation. A cold start of the module is
initiated only when the Reset switch is pressed for more than approx. 4 seconds.
Pressing the switch for a shorter time initiates a warm start.
