With internal termination:
Is the termination active, if the module is located at the end of the bus?
With external termination:
Were both cable ends terminated properly?
Is the internal termination disabled?
Isa1kΩ pull-up, 100 Ω and1kΩ pull-down resistance circuitry used as the
external termination?
Is an external 5-V power supply provided for external termination?
Were all connector pins not assigned to RS422 left free?
Is the appropriate cable used (sufficient wire CSA, shielded)?
Was the connector shield applied to terminal P?
