Best Pracces
There are references to best pracces throughout this guide. These represent the opons used by the
majority of Abbo Point of Care established customers in creang their current i‑STAT customizaon
proles. Those opons, along with features available only on the i‑STAT Alinity system were assembled
and tled "best pracces". They are intended only as examples. Each HCO should establish its own best
pracces.
How to Proceed
Begin by contacng Abbo Point of Care and establishing your Healthcare Organizaon (HCO) (refer to
the next secon, Geng Started). Next, dene the primary CWi user (refer to the secon Manage
Users).
Note:
• Abbo Point of Care strongly encourages a healthcare organizaon (HCO) to establish
more than one HCO manager. Then, in the event that one HCO manager is
unavailable, other HCO managers can use the system.
• One HCO manager only is specied as the "primary".
• Only a primary HCO manager can assign the role of healthcare organizaon manager
to another CWi user.
Geng Started
The funcon of CWi is to customize the i‑STAT Alinity instrument. Users of CWi may wish to verify
informaon for their site, edit user informaon, or add instruments. Abbo Point of Care strongly
recommends that you read this secon in its enrety before logging in to CWi.
Note:
The computer used to access CWi should reside behind the healthcare facility's IT
rewall and have anvirus soware installed.
If you have an established HCO and you are logging in to CWi, you can skip the informaon below and
log in as usual. The following informaon is provided for users who will be logging in to CWi for the rst
me.
