3.4 - Manage and Assemble Proles
Customizaon of instruments is controlled by proles built in the CWi. A prole is a set of categories. A
group of features makes up a category.
Building categories and assembling them into proles allows each instrument to behave dierently than
an instrument used 'out of the box'.
Instrucon on building categories and proles is discussed in this secon.

The commands shown on the upper right can be used to perform these acons:
Create Create a pr
ole or category.
Create from Exisng Manage Prole and all Categories have a Create from Exisng
capability. The purpose of this acon is to allow a user the ability to
select and copy an exisng Prole or Category so modicaons can be
made easily. When using this acon the user will be required to
rename the Prole or Category and then make the desired changes to
the features.
Change Manage Prole and all Categories can be changed without renaming.
View Select a Prole or Category for viewing to determine the enabled
features.
Delete Remove a Prole or Category from the Manage and Assemble Prole
Workspace. Assigned Proles or Categories cannot be deleted.
Export Export a package le to a USB device or storage device.
Print Select a Prole or Category to print a hard copy.
The Search eld is used t
o nd free-eld text in the Workspace table.
The Filter opon is used to limit what is displayed in the Workspace table. These funcons are available
for all categories in the Manage and Assemble Proles Workspace.
