3.4 - Manage and Assemble Proles
Customizaon of instruments is controlled by proles built in the CWi. A prole is a set of categories. A
group of features makes up a category.
Building categories and assembling them into proles allows each instrument to behave dierently than
an instrument used 'out of the box'.
Instrucon on building categories and proles is discussed in this secon.

The commands shown on the upper right can be used to perform these acons:
Create Create a pr
ole or category.
Create from Exisng Manage Prole and all Categories have a Create from Exisng
capability. The purpose of this acon is to allow a user the ability to
select and copy an exisng Prole or Category so modicaons can be
made easily. When using this acon the user will be required to
rename the Prole or Category and then make the desired changes to
the features.
Change Manage Prole and all Categories can be changed without renaming.
View Select a Prole or Category for viewing to determine the enabled
features.
Delete Remove a Prole or Category from the Manage and Assemble Prole
Workspace. Assigned Proles or Categories cannot be deleted.
Export Export a package le to a USB device or storage device.
Print Select a Prole or Category to print a hard copy.
The Search eld is used t
o nd free-eld text in the Workspace table.
The Filter opon is used to limit what is displayed in the Workspace table. These funcons are available
for all categories in the Manage and Assemble Proles Workspace.
