3.3 - Manage Users
This workspace is used to idenfy all users of the CWi, and specify the level of access for each. Operators
of the i‑STAT Alinity instrument may be idened in the data management system.
Overview
Within the healthcare organizaon, all users who are authorized to access CWi must be dened. The
type of role assigned to a user determines which acons can be performed.
• Primary Healthcare Organizaon Manager One healthcare organizaon manager only is specied as
the "primary" and is indicated in the Manage Users list with a check mark (✓). The primary
healthcare organizaon manager has permission to access all funcons of the CWi including creang
the healthcare organizaon and creang other CWi users.
￮ Only the primary healthcare organizaon manager can assign the role of healthcare organizaon
manager to another user.
￮ It is important to keep the primary healthcare organizaon manager current. Should the assigned
primary healthcare organizaon manager need to be changed or password need to be reset,
contact technical support by email: oustechsvc@apoc.abbo.com.
• Healthcare Organizaon Manager has permission to access all funcons of the CWi including
creang other CWi users, except for the primary healthcare organizaon manager.
￮ Other healthcare organizaon managers can only assign the roles of Point of Care Super User and
Point of Care Coordinator.
• Point of Care Coordinator (POCC) has permission to access all funcons of the CWi program, but is
limited to assigning the role of Point of Care Super User when creang other users.
• Point of Care Super User has limited permission to CWi program, including ability to view proles and
categories, view instruments with proles, and view healthcare organizaon informaon.
Best Pracces
When dening users:
• Abbo Point of Care strongly encourages healthcare organizaons to establish more than one
healthcare organizaon manager for the CWi. Then, in the event that one of the healthcare
organizaon managers is unavailable, any other healthcare organizaon manager can use the system.
• One healthcare organizaon manager is specied as the "primary" and indicated in the Manage User
list with a check mark (✓). To change the primary healthcare organizaon manager, contact Abbo
Point of Care technical support by email: oustechsvc@apoc.abbo.com.
