3.3 - Manage Users
This workspace is used to idenfy all users of the CWi, and specify the level of access for each. Operators
of the i‑STAT Alinity instrument may be idened in the data management system.
Overview
Within the healthcare organizaon, all users who are authorized to access CWi must be dened. The
type of role assigned to a user determines which acons can be performed.
• Primary Healthcare Organizaon Manager One healthcare organizaon manager only is specied as
the "primary" and is indicated in the Manage Users list with a check mark (✓). The primary
healthcare organizaon manager has permission to access all funcons of the CWi including creang
the healthcare organizaon and creang other CWi users.
￮ Only the primary healthcare organizaon manager can assign the role of healthcare organizaon
manager to another user.
￮ It is important to keep the primary healthcare organizaon manager current. Should the assigned
primary healthcare organizaon manager need to be changed or password need to be reset,
contact technical support by email: oustechsvc@apoc.abbo.com.
• Healthcare Organizaon Manager has permission to access all funcons of the CWi including
creang other CWi users, except for the primary healthcare organizaon manager.
￮ Other healthcare organizaon managers can only assign the roles of Point of Care Super User and
Point of Care Coordinator.
• Point of Care Coordinator (POCC) has permission to access all funcons of the CWi program, but is
limited to assigning the role of Point of Care Super User when creang other users.
• Point of Care Super User has limited permission to CWi program, including ability to view proles and
categories, view instruments with proles, and view healthcare organizaon informaon.
Best Pracces
When dening users:
• Abbo Point of Care strongly encourages healthcare organizaons to establish more than one
healthcare organizaon manager for the CWi. Then, in the event that one of the healthcare
organizaon managers is unavailable, any other healthcare organizaon manager can use the system.
• One healthcare organizaon manager is specied as the "primary" and indicated in the Manage User
list with a check mark (✓). To change the primary healthcare organizaon manager, contact Abbo
