Messages and Troubleshoong
This secon contains informaon to help the operator idenfy and resolve failures and alerts that might
be present in the i‑STAT Alinity system. Also included are explanatory and warning messages. At the me
of an event, a Quality Check Failure (QCF) message and informaon on how to resolve it is displayed on
the instrument. At some me aer the QCF occurs, it may be necessary to retrieve this informaon. To
do this, the user can touch Review Results to display the QCF and its associated numeric code. These
numeric codes and resoluons are listed in the Quality Check Failure Codes table in this secon. This
informaon will aid the administrator in answering quesons for performing troubleshoong.
Alerts
An alert condion presents itself when an acon is required. Some alerts need the operator's immediate
acon (for example, Crically Low Baery) and others may require the administrator's aenon (for
example, Low Memory). The alert displays on the screen and the display persists unl the operator takes
acon. Touching the Alert buon displays addional details.

administrator.
Quality Check Failure Codes
The instrument connuously performs numerous quality checks to ensure the system is operang
properly. Quality Check Failure Codes (QCFs) indicate an issue was detected with the instrument,
cartridge, sample or soware. The failure of any quality check causes the instrument to display a quality
