Although a message is displayed on the instrument when a quality check failure occurs, the details are
not available in Review Results. The informaon shown below is to aid the administrator in answering
quesons or performing troubleshoong.
A Quality Check Failure can occur during paent tesng (Paent Pathway), while performing Quality
Control (Quality Control Pathway), or when using the Electronic Simulator (Electronic Simulator
Pathway).
For instrument issues, follow the instrucons on the display. If the instrument has been powered down,
the Quality Check Failure code will be stored in Review Results. To retrieve it: Power on the instrument
and touch More Opons > Review Results > Quality Results > Quality Check Code Results.
Use the following tables to nd the Quality Check Failure code and determine the cause and resoluon.
1. In the table below, in the rst column, nd the QCF code as found in Review Results.
2. Idenfy the pathway in which the failure occurred, and
• in the Cause column nd the cause number, then see Quality Check Failure Causes for the

• in the Resoluon column nd the resoluon leer, then see Quality Check Failure Resoluons for
