User Dened Message Category
This category enables creaon of a user-dened message that will display on the i‑STAT Alinity
instrument prior to cartridge inseron in tesng pathways. This category is oponal.
To create new user-dened messages, click on Create. The screen displays the default name
TemporaryName. Change the name, using the specicaons shown below:
User Dened Message
Name Required. Specify a name that is from 4 to 40 characters long and:
• c
onsists only of the following characters:
￮ 0 through 9
￮ A through Z or alphabet appropriate for language (in upper or
lower case)
￮ blank space
￮ underscore ( _ )
• does not begin with the characters APOC (in upper or lower
case)
• is a unique name within this healthcare organizaon

om the opons shown at the boom of the screen:
• Discard to undo changes
• Next to open the next tab
User De
ned Message The screen for entry of the user-dened message content displays.
A maximum of 40 characters per line, and a maximum of 10 lines
can be specied.
