i-STAT Alinity Electronic Simulator Specicaons
Operaonal range: Temperature and humidity 16 to 30ºC (61 to 86ºF)
10 to 90% non-condensing, with maximum saturaon
temperature of 34ºC (93.2ºF)
Storage range: Temperature and humidity -10 to 60ºC (14 to 140ºF)
10 to 90% non-condensing, with maximum saturaon
temperature of 50ºC (122ºF)
Altude up to 3,048 meters (10,000 feet)
Precauons and Limitaons
For best results, observe the following precauons:
DO:
use only the accessories and consumables specied or supplied for this system by Abbo Point of
Care.
place the removable cap over the contacts when the Electronic Simulator is not in use or when
cleaning or disinfecng.
check with authories for local, state, and/or naonal requirements for disposal.
DO NOT:
aempt to remove the Electronic Simulator while a test is being performed.
drop the Electronic Simulator, as doing so can cause it to malfuncon.
place the Electronic Simulator in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere.
make any unauthorized repairs or modicaons to this product.
use the Electronic Simulator with any instrument other than the iSTAT Alinity.
touch the area under the cap.
NOTE:
Funcon provided by this equipment may be impaired if used in a manner not specied by Abbo
Point of Care.
The instrument can become contaminated with blood during use. Operators should use standard
precauons whenever handling the instrument, cartridge, and peripherals to protect themselves
from blood-borne pathogens and pathogens from other body substances. Standard precauons, such
as the wearing of gloves, are designed to protect personnel from blood-borne pathogens and
pathogens from other body substances. These precauons are based on the assumpon that blood,
body uids, and ssue can contain infecous agents and should therefore be treated as biohazardous
materials. For more informaon, refer to the CDC/NIH manual Biosafety in Microbiological and
Biomedical Laboratories, 4th edion, 1999, or to the WHO Laboratory Biosafety Manual, 2nd edion,
2003.
The instrument and its peripherals are not listed by any authority with respect to suitability for use in
oxygen-enriched atmospheres.
