i‑STAT Alinity System Components
Rechargeable Baery
This Lithium-Ion rechargeable single cell baery is
the primary source of power for the instrument.
Power levels and charging status are indicated on
the screen of the instrument.
Cartridges
i‑STAT cartridges contain test reagents which are
located on sensors on the top of the cartridge. The
instrument and cartridge work together to
generate a clinically meaningful result.
Printer
Provides the ability to print all results (paent
tests, quality control, etc.) generated by the i‑STAT
Alinity.
Electronic Simulator
Provides an independent check on the
instrument's ability to take accurate and sensive
measurements of voltage, current and resistance
from the cartridge.
