Multitone Definition in the Frequency Domain

Click the >> button to get to the to the Phase Algorithm Setup
window. There you select the algorithm to determine the phase
offsets of the individual tones.
The phase offsets have a significant impact on the shape of the
final multitone waveform and are used to control the PRR (Peak-
to-RMS-Ratio) of the multitone waveform.
Further, you enter in this window the upper and lower limit for
the PRR of the calculated multitone waveform (Gaussian Criteria).
The PRR is the ratio of the absolute value of the maximum
amplitude of the multitone waveform and the RMS (Root-Mean-
Square) of that waveform in dB.
The Linear and the User defined phase values algorithms assign
phase offsets to the tones and then check whether the PRR limits
are matched. The Random algorithms assigns random phase
offsets, checks the resulting PRR value against the limits, and
repeats this up to Maximum number of calculations times, until
