One IDA8C unit (Matrix Mode
and Switch Mode) and 2
IDA8SAB units (Matrix Mode
and Switch Mode) connect via
Local Ateis Net:
Inside the IDA8 units, the
packets travel around from A to
B and B to A through wires.
Therefore, the second slave unit
is the one connected to the
IDA8C's B port of Local Net.
Connection example : Local Ateis Net.
Two IDA8C master-slave
systems connect with each
other via Global Ateis Net.
Connection example : Global / Local Ateis Net.
More than two IDA8C units
(Matrix Mode and Switch Mode)
connect together via Local Ateis
Net.
In case users have extra need
with only one IDA8C master unit,
more than two master units shall
be linked up together via Local
Ateis Net, providing more
capacity of paging zones and
remote device.
Connection example: IDA8C units via Local Ateis Net.
4.3.1 Protection of Ateis network
When a network fault has been detected on Ateis-Net, the Ateis-Net will operated a protection which
automatically shuts down the IDA8 which has been detected with the network fault.
1. No Response from Network Communication:
Issue: The network communication between IDA8 units has failed and no response, then
displayed as blacklist on Ateis-Net and in fault list too. To know more about the fault, see Net
Blacklist chapter.
