DYnaMiC braking
Dynamic braking absorbs the motor regeneration energy when the motor is decelerated faster
than it would if it was allowed to coast to a stop. The regeneration energy is dissipated by braking
resistors. Our braking units are suitable for 230V and 460V GS4 drives, and must be used in
conjunction with GS series braking resistors to provide the best braking results. Smaller drives
have the braking function built-in and do not require a separate dynamic braking unit.
