Measure the compressed Plastigage at its wid-
est point.

• Standard: 0.0008 to 0.0019 in. (0.020 to 0.047
mm).
• Service limit: 0.0024 in. (0.060 mm).
If measurement exceeds service limit, replace
crankshaft bearing.

Bearing thickness is identified by a color mark
painted on the bearing:
• Green: 0.0585 to 0.0587 in. (1.486 to 1.490
mm)
