etCO2/Flow Breathing Circuit Setup
To monitor both etCO
2
and respiratory mechanics
1. Select an appropriate etCO
2
/Flow sensor.
2. Plug the sensor into the etCO
2
/Respiratory mechanics pod.
3. Snap a Capnostat sensor onto the etCO
2
/Flow sensor.
4. Connect the etCO
2
/Flow sensor to the patient breathing apparatus as shown in
“etCO2/Flow Breathing Circuit Setup” on page 21-6. A message at the top of
the screen confirms the sensor size and its proper connection.
5. Follow procedures for etCO
2
mainstream setup (page 19-6).
