values are outside the
alarm limits, due to one of the following
conditions:
• Physiological
• Inappropriate limit settings
• Loose fixation ring
• Check the patient and treat, if
necessary.
• Change the alarm limits (see Alarms
chapter).
• Apply a new fixation ring at different
monitoring site.
• Check the sensor and pod;
recalibrate the sensor; change the
sensor membranes or replace the
sensor, if necessary.

pod is not connected to
the monitor.
• Check all connections.
• Replace the pod or connecting cable,
if necessary.
Check TP
Sensor Site
The site timer will expire within 15
minutes.
Prepare to recalibrate and reposition
the sensor.
TP Check/
Replace Sensor
The auto heater shutdown is in effect or
the sensor didn’t heat to the desired
temperature setting.
• Recalibrate sensor and apply at new
monitoring site to start the Site
Timer.
• Verify that the sensor is compatible
with pod.
TP Change
Sensor Site
The site timer has expired. • Immediately remove the sensor from
the patient.
• Recalibrate the sensor and apply at
new monitoring site.
Remove Probe
from Chamber
The calibration of the sensor is
complete.
Remove the sensor from the
calibration chamber.
TP Chamber
Timeout
The electrode remained in the
calibration chamber > 30 min.
Recalibrate or cover the sensor with a
protective cap for storage.
