Add channels to your CSI 2140
You can upgrade the number of supported channels in your analyzer without sending the
analyzer back to a Product Service Center facility. You can upgrade from 1 to 2 channels, 1
to 4 channels, or 2 to 4 channels. Use AMS Machinery Manager or AMS Machinery Manager
Standalone Data Transfer to connect the analyzer to your PC.
Use the CFGxxxxxx.bin file, where x lists the serial number of the CSI 2140, you receive
from Emerson and follow the steps below. Additional pricing may apply. Contact your
Emerson sales representative for pricing and details.
Prerequisites
• Ensure the analyzer is powered off.
• Ensure the power supply is connected to the analyzer.
Procedure
1.
Connect the analyzer to the computer using the USB cable.
2. On the computer, open Data Transfer.
3. Right-click the CSI 2140 icon, and select Configure Device.
4. Copy the CFGxxxxxx.bin file to the firmware folder.
You can view the location of the firmware folder from the CSI 2140 options screen.
