10.1 Balance overview
Balancing is the process of adding or removing weights from equipment to change the
distribution of mass. The center of mass should be at the center of rotation. Use the
Balance program to correct an imbalance issue with a machine. You can do single or multi-
plane balancing in this program.
The program guides you through the steps in a typical balance procedure, starting on the
Balance main menu.
Note
The Balance program guides you through a typical, recommended sequence, but you can acquire
data on any measurement in any order.
To use the Balance program:
1.
Create a new job, or load an existing job into the analyzer. To collect and save any
data, you must use a job file.
