10.8 Balance correction
After you collect the reference and trial run data, view the calculated balance correction to
see the amount of weight to add or remove to balance the machine.
If a less than 5% change in measurement response between the Reference Run and the
Trial Run data occurs, a warning message displays when you select F5 View Corr. If this
happens, press Enter to continue. The balance correction is calculated, and you can
continue the job. However, remember that insufficient vibration magnitude changes can
produce inaccurate influence coefficients.
Note
To reduce the number of necessary or conflicting weights on the rotor, remove the trial weights
before you add the correction weights. However, the Balance program can calculate the correction
with or without the weights from the last trial run.
