Users may choose to turn the Scan Engine Power on or off. Select between Enable and Disable.
Scan Angle (Opticon laser model only)
This option enables the user to configure the laser beam angle to the barcode. There are two
options for scan angle: Wide and Narrow. Wide is 54

and Narrow is 27

. The default is wide.
Filter (Opticon laser model only)
This menu enables the user to change the Filter mode from Normal to High for poor quality
barcodes. The default is Normal.
Timeout
In this menu, you may set the scan timeout. The timeout options are from 500ms up to 10
seconds. The default is 2 seconds.
Minimum Barcode Length
This option enables the user to set a barcode length from 2 characters to 36 characters
(KDC20/100/200/250/270L/270D/350L/410/411/415/470L/470D/500L) or 2 characters to 48
characters (KDC30/270C/280C/300/350C/420/421/425/450/470C/500C). It is strongly
recommended that you maximize the minimum barcode length setting to prevent possible
errors.
➢ The default minimum barcode length of
KDC20/100/200/250/270L/270D/350L/410/411/415/470L/470D/500L is 4 characters.
