7.17 Motor temperature monitoring system
The menu Parameters/Device parameters/Temperature monitoring can be used to
configure the motor temperature sensors. The selection of standard temperature sensors
has already been described in section 4.4.6 Motor temperature monitoring on page 52. The
following section explains the configuration of a single sensor.
Temperature sensors can be connected via three different connectors (X2A, X2B and X6)
that are internally connected to the same analogue evaluation system. This is why it is not
possible to connect more than one sensor at a time.
Dangerous electrical voltage!
The signals for the temperature sensor "MT-" and "MT+" at the motor connector [X6]
must be connected to protective extra-low voltage (PELV) on the motor side and they
must be insulated against the motor phases.
7.17.1 Parameterising the characteristic (linear/non-linear
sensor)
If your motor temperature sensor has a linear characteristic, select Generic type (linear).
Clicking the button opens a detail window in which two data points of the
characteristic (Motor resistance at 25°C or Motor resistance at 100°C) can be specified.
