Check functioning of the clutches -KV and -K1 by means of com-
pressed air!
At correctly installed components, closing or
opening of the clutches is clearly audible.
Pile up lower bearing inner race, adjusting ring (e.g. s = 7,95 mm)
and upper bearing inner race.
3.2.5 Install countershaft gear and multi-disc clutches
Adjust axial gap of the countershaft gear bearing = 0,00 ... 0,05
mm (Figure 367 ... 371):
The figure on the left shows the components of the countershaft
gear bearing.
1 = Bearing inner race (2x)
2 = Adjusting ring e.g.. s = 7,95 mm
3 = Countershaft gear
Adjusting ring s = 7,95 mm, empirical value!
Squeeze in and engage rectangular rings (3x, see arrows).
