Lamp Error (LED illumination adjustment) (Left and Right Side)
A part or all of the LED board on both left and right sides do not light up.
This error is detected if the white level peak did not reach the prescribed threshold
when the white plate was scanned.
 LED board defective on both sides
 SBU defective
 BCU defective
 Power/signal harness defective
 Condensation in the scanner unit
 Mirrors or lenses dirty or positioned incorrectly
 White plate dirty or installed incorrectly
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
1. Reconnect the following connectors:
 SBU-IPU/BCU harness connector
 SBU-LED harness connector
2. Clean or replace the white plate on the exposure glass.
3. Clean the 1st scanner carriage (1stmirror)/2nd scanner carriage (2nd and 3rd
mirror)
4. Replace the LED board on both sides.
5. Replace the lens brock.
6. Replace the IPU board.
7. Replace the BCU board.
8. Replace the following harnesses:
 SBU-IPU/BCU harness
 SBU-LED harness.
