Cause
Charge roller is dirty (Foreign objects on the surface of the charge roller or an excessive amount of
lubricant scraped off from the inside of the PCU cleaning unit).
The PCU cleaning unit is defective
Scratches and foreign objects on the drum surface
Sample photos of scratches and foreign objects on the surface
Sharply smeared charge roller
When the charge roller is sharply smeared
Caused by the PCU cleaning unit: A foreign object may be sticking to the edge of the lubrication
blade [A] or the cleaning blade [B].
