Narrow Trailing Edge Margin (Image Elongation)
The edge margin becomes narrow or disappears. This occurs on approx. first eight sheets from the
start of printing when A3 paper is used.
[A]: The trailing edge margin is narrow (approx. 1 mm).
[B]: The trailing edge margin is narrow (normal output).
Cause
The line speed of the fuser unit is faster than that of the paper transfer unit, causing the image to
elongate and the trailing edge margin to become narrow or disappear.
Solution
1. Access the [Adjustment Settings for Operators] menu.
2. Execute No. 0512-01 "Fuser Unit Speed Adjustment".
It takes about 3 minutes.
Uneven Gloss Waves at Paper Trailing Edge (When Paper Longer than A4 SEF Is Used)
When paper longer than A4 SEF is used, uneven gloss waves occur in the main scan direction. This
occurs on approx. first eight sheets from the start of printing.
