Bottom plate lift motor error (1-pass ADF)
The bottom plate HP sensor does not detect the home position of the bottom plate
after the bottom plate lift motor switches on and lowers the bottom plate. Or, the
bottom plate position sensor does not detect the position of the plate after the lift
motor switches on and raises the bottom plate.
Details:
The ADF notifies the main machine of the error. The first two occurrences are
displayed as jams.
 Bottom plate position sensor output error
 Bottom plate HP sensor output error
 Bottom plate lift motor error (does not rotate)
 ADF Control Board defective
Check if the SC occurs (feed paper, open/close the doors, Input or Output check).
If the SC occurs again, do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling
the power after each step.
1. Check the connections of the sensor harnesses and motor harnesses.
2. Replace the sensor harnesses and motor harnesses.
3. Replace the Bottom Plate HP Sensor, Bottom Plate Lift Motor.
4. Replace the ADF Control Board.

 ADF Feed Motor error (does not rotate)
 ADF Control Board defective
Check if the SC occurs (feed paper, open/close the doors, Input or Output check).
If the SC occurs again, do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling
the power after each step.
1. Check the connections of the sensor harnesses and motor harnesses.
2. Replace the sensor harnesses and motor harnesses.
3. Replace the ADF Feed Motor, Pickup Roller HP Sensor.
4. Replace the ADF Control Board.
