If the problem is not solved with measures above, replace the fuser belt.
After taking the above measures, do the color calibration adjustment of the DFE.
Vertical Black Streaks Occur after "10: Exe Image Quality Adj Print: Acr Fd" is Executed
Cause
If main scan shading correction is performed with a foreign object sticking to the shading plate of the
revolver or sheet-through exposure glass of the TIM-Mag unit, the TIM-Mag unit detects the area of the
foreign object as white, and this may cause a black streak on the image at the location of the foreign
object.
This occurs after execution of "10: Exe Image Quality Adj Print: Acr Fd".
The vertical black streaks occur at the same locations regardless of color.
The width of each vertical black streak is approx. 4 to 6 mm.
The figure below is the sample sheet after execution of "10: Exe Image Quality Adj Print: Acr Fd".
[A]: Black streak
Solution
Perform the following procedure for cleaning and correction.
Cleaning point: sheet-through exposure glasses, shading plate on the revolver
Outline of the cleaning procedure: Using the optical cloth that comes with the main machine, wipe
with dry cloth in one direction (from rear to front), trying not to leave any dust.
1. Access the TIM-Mag unit.
2. Clean the shading plate.
Be sure to wipe only one way - from the machine’s rear to the front. Moving the optical cloth back
and forth is likely to leave stains.
