Banding (63 mm intervals)
Banding (189 mm intervals)
After taking the above measures, do the color calibration adjustment of the DFE.
Banding (63 mm intervals)
Uneven density occurs at 63 mm interval.
Cause 1: Uneven density at 63mm intervals caused by the difference in line speed
When weakly charged toner is transferred, toner scattering tends to occur, resulting in uneven density.
This occurs only on halftone images of black toner.
This is likely to occur if:
Printing in the low temperature and low humidity condition (This may occur also in other
environments.).
Printing a halftone image.
Cause 2: Uneven density at 63mm intervals caused by the paper transfer bias
When the speed of the paper transfer roller is low, the time during which high voltage is applied
becomes longer, resulting in uneven density.
This is likely to occur if:
Printing in the low temperature and low humidity condition
When the print speed is set to low
