Error Name/Error Condition/Major Cause/Solution
 A harness to one of the parts listed above is broken.
 PCB defective
 Replace or reconnect the Lift motor.
 Replace or reconnect the Paper Height Middle Sensor.
 Replace or reconnect the Lower Limit Sensor (if vacuum feed banner sheet
tray is not installed).
 Replace or reconnect the Upper Limit Sensor 1.
 Replace or reconnect the Upper Limit Sensor 2.
 Replace the broken harness.
 Replace the PCB.
Check if the SC occurs by turning the power OFF then ON. If the SC occurs again,
do the following steps. Check if the SC reoccurs by cycling the power after each
step.
To check for any abnormalities in the sensor and motor solenoid, be sure to
perform an input check and output check for them as needed in addition to a visual
check.
1. Reconnect the lift motor.
2. Reconnect the following connector(s).
 Lower Limit Sensor
 Paper Height Middle Sensor
 Paper upper limit sensor 2
3. Replace the following harness(es).
 Lift motor
 Lower Limit Sensor
 Paper Height Middle Sensor
 Paper upper limit sensor 2
4. Replace the following electrical component(s).(Paper Tray Lift Mechanism)
 Lift motor
 Lower Limit Sensor
 Paper Height Middle Sensor
 Paper upper limit sensor 2
5. Replace the following mechanical component(s).(Paper Tray Lift Mechanism)
 Tray bottom plate
 Wires
 Pulley
 Feeler, etc.
6. Replace the Main Control Board of the LCIT.
