5.1.10 ... problems occur when reading a barcode?
If tube barcodes are not recognized, a number of causes are possible:
The tube is misaligned.
The label is not readable (defective, crumpled or too slanted).
The default position of the tube in relation to the barcode scanner is not reached
correctly. This error occurs often.
The barcode scanner is dirty or defective. This error occurs often.
Recommended procedure for sporadic barcode read errors
Check the label on the tube which has not been recognized for a correct placement and
application.
Recommended procedure for reoccurring barcode read errors on multiple tubes
1. The barcode scanner is soiled. Clean the barcode scanner.
2. There is a positioning error of the transport system. Proceed as follows:
a. Turn the system off ([Logout] and [Shutdown]).
b. Remove obstacle or soiling.
c. Turn system on.
d. Restart work cycle.
3. If the problem is caused by a positioning error of the stepper motor or if the barcode
scanner is heavily soiled or defective, notify a service technician.
5.1.11 ... the recapping module is not working?
Are enough sealing foils available in the storage?
Does the sealing foil suction work properly?
There may be a disruption of the power supply or the pneumatic system may be defective.
Clean the suction rubber.
