Operator's Manual – Version 1.6 - 10/2015 6-9
6.3.4 Maximum number of digits
The maximum number of digits should not be greater than 24 (not including the check
digit).
6.4. BlueLynx camera, technical data
• Performs tube recognition using the tube caps.
• CCD camera with integrated Linux operating system is installed.
6.5. QS I / QS I-LLD system (optional), technical data
• The QS I / QS I-LLD is a computer-controlled system for analyzing tube types and
serum quantities.
• Performs tube recognition using the tube caps.
• A special CCD camera is installed.
• An additional computer (QS I-PC) for image processing is located in the output sorter
housing.
• Images of all sample tubes are saved to this computer.
• The calculated result of the serum-volume analysis can be transmitted to the lab host
computer, or to the Silver Server.
6.6. Recapping module (optional), technical data
• Contains components for foil separation, foil transport, and heating.
• Heat sealing of various plastic tubes is possible using a specially-coated aluminum foil.
(Diameter: 11.5 mm to 15.5 mm; Height 65.5 mm to 102.5 mm). The foil can be
removed by hand.
• The recapping module receives the data on the tube that is to be sealed (tube type,
dimensions) from the camera module. (A cap-recognition unit or QS I-LLD must be
installed.)
• Selective recapping with operator-defined rules is possible.
• Tested storage conditions for sealed tubes:
Up to three months in refrigerator (+ 4 °C / 39.2 °F), when foil is properly sealed.
6.7. System interfaces
The external cobas p 512 interfaces are used to connect with:
• Power supply
• Printer
• Lab host computer (serial)
• Modem (analog)
• Compressed air
• Second network interface for RTools maintenance
