2.2. Hardware description
The cobas p 512 is an automatic pre- and post-analytic system for the acquisition and sorting
of sample tubes. The cobas p 512 offers many processing steps and the capability for
customization to the customer's location. This makes it an efficient and reliable tool for
preparing sample tubes.
The system can be extended to a 'workstation' with an optional centrifuge module (centrifuge
systems cobas p 471/ cobas p 671).
The system is equipped with a control computer with a network port for connecting to a
laboratory (host) computer. The cobas p 512 is available with two different camera systems.
