5.3. System and error messages
All messages that may be displayed are described below. These messages are made up of both
strictly informative messages as well as error messages to which the user must react.
Messages are displayed immediately on the touch screen monitor; it is possible to react to
these directly by inputting corresponding entries. Errors which can be regulated by the
system are corrected automatically (for example, positioning errors of the stepper motors).
All error messages and warnings are logged and can be used later for troubleshooting.

Most messages are indexed with a number through which it is possible to draw conclusions
as to the cause and possible remedy without reference to the text.
The message texts contain different variables which are replaced by specific texts when
displayed.
Variables in the error bar
e.g. abbreviations, file name
Variables in the description
More detailed designation of the hardware in question, for example PIO
pin, general parameter abbreviation, time.

If error messages occur which are not listed here, please notify the lab administrator or the service
technician.
