3.3.17. UTOA (Time Of Arrival precise measurements)
There is the possibility to time tag with a high precision (down to few nanoseconds) the first bit of the
synchronization word of a telemetry frame.
The feature is license dependent and is associated with a LBW TMU while being independent from the standard
telemetry flow processing.
3.3.17.1.Prerequisites
The feature applies for telemetry signals with a sub carrier frequency that is an exact integer multiple of the
symbol rate and for which the modulation is BPSK coherent.
Note:
Symbol rate = 2*bitrate in Biphase PCM encoding (BPL/BPM/BPS) while Symbole rate = bitrate in convolutional
encoding.
Bit rate denotes the STI parameter.
3.3.17.2.Supported PCM Codes and Channel Encoding
The following PCM codes and channel encoding are supported:
BPL/BPM/BPS + NRZL/NRZM/NRZS + CCSDS Scrambling
BPL + Viterbi / Viterbi inverted + NRZL/NRZM/NRZS + CCSDS Scrambling
