3.8.2.2. Output Level
The output level is programmable.
In case of L/S band operation, the CRT computes automatically:
the output level of the CRT modulator
the gain of the EFC board
to minimize the level of parasites.
In case of bypass mode operation, no gain is applied to the EFC board.
3.8.3. Calibration
The EFC is calibrated at factory, in order to provide a constant fixed gain independently of the frequency for each
input and a constant fixed level independently of the frequency for each output.
The calibration values are stored in the EFC board memory.
When SPS starts, it gets back these calibration values. This operation could take few seconds. This calibration
phase must be completed before programming and using the EFC.
One status indicates if the calibration is “in progress” or “done”.
