3.6.13.6.Hybrid Ranging Calibration
Calibration can be done owing a calibration request.
The calibration process is as follows:
The SQPN signal that is normally output on the dedicated IFM is replaced with ranging tones from an
internal generator. The ranging tones modulate the carrier in PM.
The PM signal is generated coherently and synchronously with regards to the SQPN Q code (long
code).
3.6.13.6.1.SQPN Epoch Position and Ranging Tones Coherency and Synchronisation
First of all, let’s define the Epoch position in the SQPN Q code signal.
The Epoch is defined as the first chip of the SPQN Q code sequence.
For instance
Range Channel
Code
1 18
Range Channel Code Generator (example)

Init value of register is all ‘1’ => The sequence starts with 18 ‘1’ followed by ‘0’ etc
