Epoch corresponds to the first of the 18 ‘1’ that precedes the first ‘0’ of the sequence.
At the final signal level, one must define precisely what the Epoch position is. For instance, when RRC filtering is
involved, the first stage of processing consists in interpolating with zero insertion the sequence by an integer
factor of K and then the RRC filtering proper is applied:
