4.1. Starting and Configuring the Cortex
4.1.1. First Steps
4.1.1.1. Starting the PC Workstation
1. Verify that the CORTEX has not been damaged during transportation. If needed, open the top cover and verify
that the electronic sub-assemblies are in good condition.
2. Check that the CORTEX chassis is properly grounded and connected to the AC power via the appropriate
power cord.
3. Switch on the chassis (ON/OFF switch is at the rear panel). Allow 8 to 10 seconds for the power supply to
start.
4. At the front panel display, follow Windows boot-up sequence. The unit is configured to Automatic Login as
Cortex account.
