1.3 System Architecture
1.3.1 CP-8000
CP-8000 consists of a power supply, a Master Module, up to 4 protocol elements, and
2 internal I/O Modules.
Additionally, up to 6 external I/O Modules can be attached via a coupling module.
1.3.2 CP-8021 and CP-8022
CP-8021 and CP-8022 consist each of a Master Module with up to 4 optional protocol ele-
ments. The power supply is provided by an external power supply module. For purpose of re-
dundancy also 2 power supply modules are possible.
Additionally, up to 8 external I/O Modules can be attached.
